Languages in AnroAgents
What language the agent speaks to visitors, and what language the dashboard is in.
There are two different language questions in AnroAgents, and they have different answers: what language your agent speaks to visitors, and what language you see the dashboard in.
The language the agent speaks
An AnroAgents agent replies in the language the visitor writes in. A visitor who opens the chat and writes in Portuguese gets Portuguese back, without you configuring anything, and a visitor who switches language mid-conversation is followed.
The Default Language of an AnroAgents agent sets the language it uses when it has nothing to go on — the first message before the visitor has written anything.
The Default Greeting of an AnroAgents agent can be written in several languages at once, and each visitor sees the version matching their browser language. Next to the field is a button that auto-translates what you have written into the remaining languages, so you write it once.
The widget title of an AnroAgents agent works the same way as the greeting: written per language, shown to each visitor in theirs.
The knowledge base of an AnroAgents agent does not need translating. Documents uploaded in one language are used to answer questions asked in another — a Russian visitor gets an answer grounded in your English price list. Retrieval works best when the question and the document share a language, so if a market matters to you, uploading the catalogue in that language too is worth the effort.
The language of the dashboard
The AnroAgents dashboard itself is available in six interface languages: English, Russian, German, Spanish, French and Greek. Change it under Settings; the choice applies to your own login and does not affect what your agents say to visitors.
The AnroAgents website, the pricing pages and the referral programme terms are published in the same set of languages.
Which languages an agent can hold a conversation in
An AnroAgents agent is not restricted to the six interface languages. It converses in the languages the underlying model handles well, which covers all the major European and Asian ones, and the agent's own configuration — greeting, title, description — is what you translate deliberately.
If you sell into one market only and want the agent to stay in that language whatever the visitor writes, say so in the agent's Restrictions. Otherwise it will follow the visitor.
